How to Use 'My Karaoke'

My Karaoke was created to let our Karaoke singers spend more time socializing with their friends and less time searching through the songbooks at the show. This article explains how to use My Karaoke.

When you first select My Karaoke from the top or bottom menu, you will be given the choices to either Log In, Sign Up or Retrieve your lost password. To sign up, simply click the "Signup" button and you will be taken to the appropriate form. We ask you for a username, password and an email address.

Once signed up, you can then log into the system to create your personal songlist and to search the song database.

If you are unable to remember your password, select "Email Password" and you will be asked for your email address. The system will then send your username and password to the email address we have on file for you.

My Karaoke Menu:

ADD SONGS:

This choice allows you to search our database of over 10,500 entries to locate your favorite songs. The search results will show a checkbox beside each of the entries that match your search. If you like some of the entries, click the checkbox beside each of the songs you want to add to your own personal list and then click on "Save To My Karaoke" at the bottom of the list. This will add the checked entries to your personal list.

EDIT LIST:

This choice will show you all of the songs currently in your list and will allow you to change the note for each song or to delete the song from your list. (Deleting the song also deletes your note for that song). The Delete and Edit functions only work for one song at a time - the one listed to the left of the button.

VIEW / PRINT LIST:

This choice allows you to sort your list by artist name, song title or disc number and displays the sorted list. At the bottom of the sorted list, you have the option to print the list so you can bring it with you to the show.

DOWNLOAD THE FULL SONGLIST IN MS EXCEL FORMAT:

This choice will allow you to sort our entire song list by your choice of Song Title, Artist Name or Song Number and then save it to your own computer in a format compatible with Microsoft Excel. This was included for those who wish to have all the songs listed in one place to look through at your leisure. This is the only way that you can retrieve the entire songlist.

SONG REQUEST:

This choice opens a text area where you can type in any information on any song you'd like to sing which doesn't appear in our library. When you click the button to submit your request, the system sends the information via email to our music buyer who will then add your song to our list of music to purchase. If it exists, We'll find it!

LOGOUT:

This choice ends your current session with My Karaoke. Closing your browser window has the same effect, but some people like to click a button and see that the logout has, indeed, taken place.
